God's Christmas Gift For You

God has a gift this Christmas
for  all who would receive.
For  Heaven's  not for the good;
It's for those who believe.

His gift can not be worked for,
don't fret about the cost,  
It has all been paid for, by
the blood shed on the cross.

The Babe held in Mary's arms,
that shepherds came to see,
Was sent to die on a cross,
For souls like you and me.

Unlike the gifts of Santa,
For those who have been good,
God's gift was sent to a world,
That never, ever, could.

So in the midst of chaos
around this time year,
take the time to focus on
the Word, God gave to hear.

Once received, it should not be
kept, just for you alone.
But passed along to others
So Heaven will be their home.
