Angelic Conflict - From The Post-Flood Days To The Call Of Abram...
After the flood waters of Noah’s day receded, the world was repopulated through Noah’s three sons and daughters-in-law.
God entered into a covenant with Noah, symbolized by a rainbow appearing in the sky. This covenant assured Noah (and the remaining generations of the human race to come) that God would not destroy the Earth (in its entirety) by water.
Covenants of Scripture are two sided. The divine side of the Rainbow Covenant with Noah was that the Earth would never again, in its totality, be overcome by water. The human side is that enduring environment would be over-shaddowed by either blessings or curses in light of present and future acts of obedience and disobedience of Man.
In fact, it was the Genesis 9:22-24 incident that set the stage for WHERE the "Promised Land" of the Jews would be established. There are many interpretations of what actually took place in the tent of Noah that day or night, but what is clear is that as a result of the Genesis 9:22 -24 incident, it was Canaan's descendants who would be the servants of the descendants of Japeth and Shem.
It was the descendants of Canaan (Genesis 11: 15-18) who were in the land when Abram passed through, and it would be the descendants of Canaan who would be subjected to forced labor when the land was to be taken over by the Jews following their exodus from Egypt, fulfilling, in part the curse that Noah issued to his grandson, Canaan. Entitlement to this land will come up again and again and will be one of the issues that will be inview during and through the END TIME events of human history.
The Earth will continue until the divine purpose for its creation is fulfilled. After the present Earth has fulfilled its divine purpose(s), it will be finally destroyed in its entirety by an intense heat source (2Peter 3:10, 12, 13) and then replaced with a NEW ONE (Rev. 21).
Although God will remain true to the divine end of the “Rainbow” covenant, this is not to say that there won’t be catastrophic events before the appointed come day comes that God has set aside for its total destruction (2Pet. 3:10).
We will study these events in detail when we reach that point in our study.
A dispensation is a specific period of time within the course of human history that has a specific start and end time, usually identified by a single event. We, for instance, are living in the dispensation of the Church Age that began at the Feast of Pentecost in 30-33 AD (Acts 2), and will end when the event spoken of in 1Thess. 4: 14-17 takes place. We are now in the final stage of the Church Age dispensation, otherwise known as the End Times. We will study the significance of acknowledging these principles when we each that phase of our study of the Angelic Conflict.
There are conditions that are unique to each dispensation, and each dispensation has specific objectives to be achieved. Knowing what the divine objectives are for the dispensation that God places each soul of the human race is critical if we are to be the “John 4:23” type of worshipers that God desires and if we are to accomplish the divine good that He has assigned to each one of us. Understanding such things does not improve the integrity of our salvation, but does make us available for greater service to the Lord.
Humans (John 3: 6a) reproduce the humanity of the next generation, but it is God (John 3:6b) that creates and places the soul into the humanity when it comes forth at birth. The specific body and ALL of the circumstances of one’s birth were in keeping with the plan that God has for the soul that He creates. Humans produce “unplanned” babies all the time, but the creation of the soul is by no means accidental.
Satan has a counter-plan and an accompanying strategy for each dispensation and for each soul that God creates and places within it. The general plan of Satan is to distract the souls from identifying the general objectives that God desires to accomplish. The more specific and individual plan of Satan is to distract the attention of each individual soul that God has placed in each dispensation for His glory from identifying and accomplishing the individual objectives that God wants to accomplish through him/her. These distractions can come in the form of what appears to be a blessing (Luke 4: 5-7), as well as adversity.
Establishing or maintaining activity that was intended for either a past or future dispensation is one of the ways that Satan distracts present day believers from engaging in the task at hand.
There were, for example structural temples, tangible altars, officiating priests, and authorized activities in and surrounding all of these elements of a past dispensation, but the earthly temple of the Church Age is the physical bodies (1Cor. 3:16) of born again believers; the priesthood of the Church Age consists of every born again believer (1Peter 2:9); and the altar consists of the soul where daily sacrifices (choices) are made that glorify God.
Just as there were NO altars and NO Leviticus priests present or required to introduce the Lord’s Supper, there are NO altars or officiating priest required for the celebration of the Lord’s Supper now.
Much of the false practices of Christian religion hover around activities of a priesthood when neither this form of priesthood nor the functions assigned to it are in keeping with what Scripture teach concerning these areas of theology.
The devil continues to have considerable success, evidenced by the fact that only a minority of each generation of Man chooses to glorify God by responding to the pre-salvation and post salvation call(s) of God.
There is a call to salvation and there is a call to the true post salvation spiritual life in every dispensation, including the generations that came after the Flood, down to the generations that were on the Earth during Abram’s (later named Abraham).
In every dispensation, salvation is always based on belief (Genesis 15:6/John 3: 16, 18) in God and the things of God to the extent that God chose to reveal Himself during each dispensation.
To whom much revelation is given, much (accountability) is required of the recipient (Luke 12:48). For this reason, the presentation and response to the Gospel assures those who BELIEVE it of eternal life and those who reject of eternal damnation.
Although God desires that everyone come to the salvation that He has provided, Scripture (Matthew 7:13, 14) concedes that only a minority of the each generation choose to be saved, and only a minority of those who are saved ever into or remain in the true post salvation spiritual life and fulfill the divine purpose that God created them.
It is a sobering experience to come to the realization that the manyof the persons we interact with on a daily basis will be spending eternity in what the Bible calls the Lake of Fire.
It is not that those who go to Heaven are any “better” than thosewho will not (James 2:10).
Heaven is not for those who were good enough, as no one is ever "good" enough. Hades and the lake of fire are not for those who were too bad to get into Heaven. With the exception of the unpardonable sin of disbelief (John 3:18), the invoice for the sins of the entire human race (1John 2: 2) has already been stamped PAID IN FULL by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Every soul that winds up in Heaven is ONLY there because he/she BELIEVED in God to the extent that God was revealed to him/her during the course of his/her time here on Earth. The epitome of revelation of God involves a presentation of the TRUE Gospel Message.
Belief or disbelief in a presentation of the true Gospel Message settles the matter of where one will spend ALL of eternity once and for all.
What the majority of each generation ha chosen, is choosing, and will choose to do is to fill the inevitable void, created by the rejection of the Eccl. 3:11 inherent knowledge of eternity, with all of the “religious” alternatives promoted by the devil within each dispensation.
In the midst of the spiritual combat that takes place in each dispensation, God has provided the means to remove members of both human and angelic participants that choose to engage in activity that violates the parameters that God has established for the Angelic Conflict.
God will not, and the devil cannot violate free will, but God does allow the devil and fallen angels to compete with Him for the voluntary surrender of control of the thoughts and accompanying behavior(s) of each soul. Such allowance is necessaryn order to uphold the principle of free will.
The soul is free to choose to which power he/she will submit to, but the soul is NOT free from having to make that choice. In our arrogance and ignorance, human viewpoint believes that there is a third option in which Man is the master of his own ship, but no such option exists in the spiritual realm.
In Romans 1: 18 - 31 (NASB), we can see the pattern of evil that the majority of individuals in EVERY generation since the Fall of Man have CHOSEN to take.
When our Lord spoke (Mathew 24: 37-39) of some of these same issues when speaking of the environment of the END TIMES, He was not describing something NEW, but was in fact teaching that the same pattern of disbelief and accompanying behavior would be repeating itself over and over again, up to and including the END TIMES. For the most part, it will be business as usual right up to the 2nd Advent.
This perspective will be enforced by a mis-interpretation of END TIME prophecies that will cause the 2nd Coming and the Rapture to take many BELIEVERS by surprise who are led to believe that there are more END TIME events to take place BEFORE the 2nd Advent and Rapture takes place. In truth, many of the anticipated END TIME events have already taken place and that the remaining events of the END TIMES are soon to unfold. We will study the deails of these events when we reach that point in this study.
In Romans 1:18-32, we read of the course that the majority of the souls of each generation of Man will continue to take, right up to the time of the 2nd Advent, being totally oblicvious to the unfolding of the difference phases of the Angelic Conflist taking place all around them.
“(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, (19) because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. (20) For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, has been clearly seen, being understood though what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
(21) For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(22) Professing to be wise, they became fools;
(23) and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
(24) Therefore, God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.
(25) For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
(26) For this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions, for their women exchanged the natural functions for that which is unnatural,
(27) and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the women and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
(28) And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God and longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
(29) being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife deceit, malice; they are gossips,
(30) slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents.
(31) without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;
(32) and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”
Before we go on with the examination of the portion of the Angelic Conflict that took place between the end of the flood and the calling of Abram, there are some key principles that must be understood regarding the above passage (Romans 1: 8-32).
This (Romans 1: 8-32) is a path that the majority of each generation of Man have chosen to take since the Fall of Man, and will continue to take right up to 2nd Advent.
The first step along this path is to make a negative response to the Eccl. 3:11 call of God. In the heart of every soul that God creates is placed the basic concept that God and eternity (Eccl. 3:11) exists. At the same time, there is a fallen nature in Man that is inherently HOSTILE (Romans 8:7) towards God and things of God with which all the generations of Man, ever since the Fall ,come into this world! Without the pre-salvation grace ministry of the God the Holy Spirit enabling a spiritually dead soul to under-stand a presentation of the true Gospel, the hostility of the fallen nature would prevail and no one would be saved. This is what is meant by the principle that it is God who calls us, and not we who decided when we are going to be saved.
The Romans 1: 8-32 process can NOT and does NOT begin until AFTER the soul involved has CHOSEN to reject the inherent (Eccl. 3: 11) call of God. Since the Fall, we all come into this world spiritully dead and into a state of hostility with God, but we are not, by nature, atheistic. Atheism, or rejection of the call of the true God that He places is EVERY soul that He creates, are CHOICES that we make within the privacy of our own soull.
It is this initial choice to reejct the call of God generated by the Eccl. 3: 11 knowledge of God that opens the door to a path of subsequent negative choices as defined and outlined in Romans 1: 8-32. Satan encourages this path by supplying the ones on that path with all the alternative choices and logistical support to stay on it. This, and not what is portrayed through Hollywood is what most of the spiritual warfare of EACH generation of Man is all about.
This initial decision, and all the negative decisions that follow, do NOT have to remain in place. This is what the true meaning of "repentance" (changing one’s mind) is all about.
If and when one chooses to make a positive response to the Eccl. 3:11 knowledge of the true God, God will supply him/her with all that he/she needs toenter into a relationship with Him now in time and that will continue on when life is over.
The temporal and eternal consequences for choosing to take this Romans1: 8-32 path UNLESS one chooses to leave this world as an unbeliever.
If a born again believer chooses to re-enter this path, he/she does NOT lose his/her salvation (1Cor. 3: 15), but will have a post salvation earthly life that is subject to divine discipline (Hebrews 12:6) and an eternity without many or all of the rewards and/or inheritance that he/she would have otherwise received.
The form of death spoken here (vs. 32) is spiritual death IF the one on this Romans 1: 8-32 path is there because he/she has rejected the Eccl. 3: 11 call of God.
If the one on this path in a born again believer, there are two forms of death that can apply. One is physical death, if God so wills, as this is the most severe form of divine discipline (Acts 5) that a believer can receive.
The second possible form of death being alluded to is temporal death.
Temporal death is the theological term that defines the period(s) of time that a born again believer is out of fellowship with God as a result of engaging in post salvation sin. This fellowship is restored as soon as, but not before, the known sin in confessed to God (1John 1:9). While out of fellowship, be it for seconds or decades, the born again believer is incapable of having God the Holy Spirit (John 15:5) produce ANY divine good through him/her, and is therefore functionally “dead” in the production of divine good. Note that confession but not forsaking (John 8:11) the sin or sinful lifestyle will cause the confessing believer to quickly return to sin and be once again out of fellowship and temporally dead! Time lost in periods of temporal death will not diminish the integrity of one’s salvation, but will impact his/her heavenly reward (1Cor. 3: 15).
The ONLY thing about the Romans 1: 8-32 process that has clearly changed in these END TIMES in which we are NOW living, is this encouragment that those who choose to takes its path receive.
(32) and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”
The forms of sin found in Romans 1 has been going on in EVERY generation of Man since the Fall. What has changed, is the approval that those on the path receive, and will continue to receive right up to the time of the Second Advent. In previopus generations, those who took the Rmans 1 path would not make their activity public beyond those who enaged in like-minded activity, primarily in fear of familial, social, rejection, and is some cases, criminal prosecution.
Some governments have gone as far as to grant equal civil rights and protection under the secular laws of the nations. Polioticians will say anything to anyone if they can be assured of their political support in return.
Those who choose the Romans 1 path are NO greater sinners that any one else James 2:10, but would be wise to consider the temporal and eternnal consequences of where the Romans 1 path can lead.
For an unbeliever, this path can be used by the devil and the Ephesians 6:12 forces of evil to distract one's attention from hearing or from making a positive response to the Gospel, resulting in an eternity in the Lake of Fire where ALL unbelievers are headed.
For a born again believer who chooses to return to to tread the Romans 1 path AFTER he/she is saved, runs the risk of divine discipline (Hebrews 12:6) here on earth and the loss of many or all of the heavenly rewards and privileges that he/she would have received and enjoyed in Heaven. Divine discipline can range in anything from living with a guilty conscience, up to and including physical death (Acts 5). Loss of reward does NOT mean loss of salvation (1Cor. 3: 15).
Restoration of fellowship with God for anyone on the Romans 1 path is only a prayer away (1John 1:9).
It was in the day of Abram’s time on Earth that Scripture teach was the ordained time for the next step in God’s revelation of Himself to Man to take place.
When God called Abram, he was living with his father in the land of Ur, which was a center of pagan religion and practices. To what extent Abram was/was not involved with the pagan religion(s) before he was called by the true God of the Bible is not made known to us in this passage.
However, the first set of instructions given to Abram was that he was to separate from what was then his home land, father, and relatives, and THEN head for a specific area of land that God chose to become what we now know and refer to as the Holy Land of the Middle East. The exact location and boundaries of what would become the Promised Land was not disclosed to Abraham at this time.
Obey God (to leave) without even knowing exactly where it was that Abram was to go, was in itself an example of great faith. Too often, believers want to know all of the details before taking that first step along the path that God has ordained for him/her, but as in the case of Abram, God usually only tells us what we need to know to be where He wants us to be and to do what He wants us to be going at the PRESENT time.
If, and when it is God's time for us to make a change in either one, He will provide either the "cloud" or the "light" to notify and guide us! Each step of faith not only brings us to the next phase in His plan for our lives, but prepares us for the next one(s) to come.
With a team of oxen, there is a lead beast that sets the direction and pace that the wagon is to be moved. As long as the other beast keeps in synch with the lead, the yoke will be light and the burden will be light (Matthew 11: 29, 30). But if the other beast tries to do anything other than follow the timing, direction, or pace of the lead beast, the yole" will become heavy and burden heavy.
If we want the wagon of our post salvation spiritual life to be easy and light, we too, must submit ourselves to the timing, direction, and pace that God has set for us.
Along with this call of God to Abram, God entered into what we now know as the Abrahamic Covenant. In Genesis 12: 1-3 (NASB) we read of the call and the details of the covenant:
“(1) Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives, And from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you;
(2) And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name o; And you shall be a blessing;
(3) And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be Blessed.”
Note that God's end of this covenant called for the establishment of ONE nation (later to be referred to as Israel), but that through the sons of Isaac, there would come the Savior of the world. In order to accurately interpret this passage of Scripture and others that refer to end time events, it is important not to confuse the NATION of Israel that would and DID come Isaac, the son of Abraham, and the other descendants of Isaac that were the result of the immigration and blending of the what would later become known as the lost, northern tribes of Israel.
The blessing or curse principle applied and applies to both the nation of Israel, and the numerous peoples that would be the result of the immigration of the Jews and the sons of Isaac from the "lost" northern tribes during the exiles, re-gatherings, and the final restoration of the nation of Israel in the end time. The sons of Isaac refers to the Jews of Judah and ALL of the Jewish-Gentile peoples that were a blend of the sons of the nations of the world.
It is through the sons of Isaac living within the gentile nations that would being about the blessings being referenced to Gen. 12: 1-3. and the innumerable (from human viewpoint) number of the sons of Isaac spoken of later in other Scripture.
The counting or numbering of the nation of Israel did take place from time to time as documented in such passages of Scripture as the Book of Numbers. Modern day technology makes the counting and numbering of this category of the sons of Isaac relatively easy. However, this category was NOT the innumerable nature of the sons of Isaac being referred to in Scripture (Genesis 17:4).
The innumerable sons descendants of Abraham is speaking of the sons of Isaac that would come through the immigrating and blending with gentile peoples within the gentile nations of the world.
The multitude of nations being referenced in Genesis 17:4 do NOT include the gentile nations that would descend of Ishmael. The promised blessings that these nations would receive (Gen. 21:17) were and are temporal in nature, but have nothing to do with the plan that God had for the sons of Isaac.
From divine viewpoint, the peoples and the nations within which these sons of Isaac migrated to in the course of world history are referenced to as being one in the same. This is no more evident than in the case of Great Britain being referred to as the tribe of Manasseh and the United States being referred to as the Tribe of Ephraim concerning end time prophecy.
Abram believed God, but his initial obedience was limited. He did leave the land of Ur, an area known for its pagan worship of the moon god(s), but only to go as far as Haran, another area where the pagan moon god(s) were worshipped. He did NOT separate from his father, or all of his relatives but took his father and nephew (Lot) with him. Abram, with his father Lot, set up camp in Haran.
While there, Abram acquired much temporal wealth and possessions.
Especially udring the Old Testament dispensation, overt blessings were often perceived to be indications that God was pleased, and the lack thereof was often interpreted as being a sign of God's discipline. From overt appearences, it would appear that God was pleased with Abram's peformance, so far.
God does NOT bless disobedience, but he devil certainly will (Luke 4:6) if that will help deceive the recipient into believing that his/her prosperity was a sign that he/she was “living” or “doing” right in the eyes of God.
Note the similarity of this in the New Testament (Matthew 8:22) account of a man who wanted to put off his individual call to discipleship until AFTER his father’s death. In Matthew 8:21, 22, we read:
“Another of the disciples said to Him, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father (21). But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead (22).”
Fisrt, take note that the incident involved a "disciple". The issue at hand was therefore the disiciple's call to his post salvation spiritual life. The "disicple" wanted to put if off until AFTER his father's death. The practice of promptly burying one who has just died would not have been an issue, as the man could have done this (if that were the issue) without impeding the progress of the his call to follow the Lord.
Our Lord's response (Matthew 8: 22) revealed the importance of immediate obedience and the priority that one's spiritual life must be given over family ties (Luke 14:26) and temporal issues, such as postmorem arrangements for the body remains (...let the (spiritually) dead take care of the (physically) dead bodies). The procrastinating disciple of Matthew 8: 22, 23) was told to follow the Lord NOW!
Abram, although Abram was prospering in the temporal realm, he did not make any further progress in the plan of God until afterthe death (and separation) from his father in Haran. Abram had not received as much as one offspring, let alone becoming a great nation, and had not taken one step further along the route to the Promised Land during his stay and “temporal” prosperity in Haran!
God had a purpose in allowing this “delay” in Haran. As Romans 8:28 teach, God works ALL things (including our negative as ell as out positive choices) to work out for the accomplishing of His purposes. Although divine discipline we receive can be very painful at the time, the divine discipline that we receive for our acts of sin and/or independence of God will inevitably serve as motivators for future obedience and will be used by God to accomplish His goals.
There is the “perfect” plan of God in which a believer could use the free will that God has given him/her to make the right decisions, and then there is the unfolding of the Divine Decree in the life of each soul that includes all of the negative choices and accompanying consequences that become a part of our lives as well.
The short-comings, sin, and failures of each born again believer were all known to God before He created Adam. This is not to say that each one of us, as an individual, would not be better off if we were more in line with God’s perfect plan for us, but simply that God’s ultimate plan for the human race is not dependant on our personal success or failure in identifying and executing the true post salvation spiritual life.
The only time that "all of God's eggs were placed in one basket" was when God the Son took on the form of hmanity at the First Advent in order to provide the means for the salvation of the entire human race.
In Genesis 12:2 we see the “divine” side of the Abrahamic Covenant that will, in God’s timing, be completely fulfilled.
There we read:
“(2) And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing;
This part of the Abrahamic Covenant reveals divine promises made to what would become the nation of Israel and the spiritual blessing that Abram (through Isaac) that bring to the world.
personal promises made to Abraham.
It is VERY important to understand the difference between NATIONAL and SPIRITUAL blessings. The NATIONAL blessings refers to the initial establishment of the nation of Israel; the preservation of the Jews as a people during the dispersions and time of the Gentiles; the END time re-establishment of the nation of Israel that took place in 1948; and that part that it is destined to play in the fulfillment of END prophecy. These NATIONAL promises were and are to be experienced by the Jews who were, are, and will be on the Earth during past, present, and future fulfillments of these promises.
Being the recipient and benefactor of the temporal, national blessings would receive never did and never will mean that one will automatically be the recipient of eternal life that is ONLY received by believers in the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The spiritual blessings of eternal life are for those Jews (and Gentiles) who are “born again (John 3:3)” during the course of their individual life spans by choosing to make a positive response to the extent that God had or has make known to them.
As in the case of both the Jews and the Gentile nations, BOTH will receive many national blessings, as well as national discipline, throughout the course of their history in order for the Master Plan of God to be accomplished (Acts 17:26). Rather or not the believers living within any given nation at the time will experience the benefits of divine national blessings or the curse of divine discipline has to do with where the nation is in the plan of God. Just as individuals are either progressing or regressing in his/her spiritual life at any given time, so it is true of the nations as well.
Note that BOTH the believers and the UNBELIEVERS are impacted by either the national blessings or the national discipline that God directs towards EACH nation during the life span of any given individual. These national blessings or national discipline takes place regardless of the form of government or administration in place at the time.
Other nations, in the course of human history also received temporal blessings that must be distinguished from spirirual. The descendents of Ishmael, as promised to his mother Hagar , became "great" as human viewpoint would rate "greatness" to be, but the peoples and the nations that would evolve from them would, in time, become the mortal enemies of nation of Israel.
The timing of the rise and fall, as well as the extent of influence that each nation has had, is having, or will have throughout the course of world history ALL play a part in the unfolding of God's plan for the human race.
When ANY nation chooses, for ANY reason, to go negative towards God and/or the things of God, it will face national discipline. The most severe form of national discipline that any nation can receive is to be removed from the world community.
Abram, later re-named Abraham would be the (human) means to bring about the NATION of Israel through ONE of his descendents (Isaac), and the HUMANITY of the Lord Jesus Christ. The humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and what God accomplished through it (salvation) is the ultimate spiritual blessing from which ALL nations (Jew and Gentile) would benefit.
The Gentile nations would also be blessed and/or cursed as a result of their choice(s) concerning their relationship with the Jews, both in their capacity as a sovereign nation or as Jews living within their borders ( Gen, 12:3), throughout the course of human history(3).
And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be Blessed.”
Satan was/is well aware of the part that the Jews would play in in the plan of God. Accordingly, he (Satan) has, throughout Jewish history opposed the Jews, primarily through the secular authorities and peoples in place throughout the course of world history, with the long term objective of totally eliminating them.
Satan undoubteely reasoned that if the Jews could be eliminated, then ALL of the END TIME prophecies, including the permanent incarceration of Satan in the lake of fire (Rev. 20: 10), could be avoided. Satan, now knows that he has lost the conflict, as he now knows that his time (prior to his incarceration in the Lake of Fire) is growing short (Rev. 12:12).
Anti-Semitism has always been and will always be a policy that will receive full satanic support. The blessings or curse scenario, established with Abram, will continue to be enforced throughout human history. This fact should be on the minds of gentile rulers, especially now in the END TIMES.
This is such a key factor in the Angelic Conflict, that God announced in the Abrahamic Covenant that throughout the remainder of human history, temporal blessings await the nations that bless (support or render service) to the Jews and divine discipline awaits any nation that opposes them!
With the passing of Abram’s father in Haran, God’s plan would now move forward.
