The New Year is approaching,
the Holidays soon gone,
time to move  forward with
the reason we were born.

Our soul was thus created
to bring glory to God.
Not to live to please oneself,
the road so often trod.

God gave us all the freedom
to choose  for whom we live,
Be it for ourselves or God,
We have one life to give.

It's our diverse interests
His gives to you and me
To place us where He wants us
His witness, us to be.

The road of discipleship
will be one of much strife,
For it will be a battle
the true disciple's life.

Most New Year's resolutions
do not endure too long.
It takes a daily focus
to sing  the victor's song.
